This present essay is a type of recaption of ideas concerning an historical development that Marx, Engles and their associates were not privy to and that we of today need to include in an attempt to be more inclusive in developing a more informative comprehensive historical illustration of effects on sociological development and sociological ideas. As such, the ideas of Marx, Engles and their like-minded peers... and those of today who partake in one or another revisionist approaches but also truncate available information... can be viewed as those whose views are best relegated to footnote positions, or selective commentary placed beneath interjected pictures denoting a particular time and place. Such an approach as ours, requires that we look at the development of events which preceded the history of life itself, as effects which no doubt played a part in providing the necessary environment for its development. As such, before life emerged... that is, life as we know it, was the Cosmological event called the Big Bang. The Big Bang of the Universe (as we presently know it) is a theory that needs to be reviewed. A short article from the Britannica may suffice for some readers:
(The Big Bang Model) widely held theory of the evolution of the universe. Its essential feature is the emergence of the universe from a state of extremely high temperature and density—the so-called big bang that occurred 13.8 billion years ago. Although this type of universe was proposed by Russian mathematician Aleksandr Friedmann and Belgian astronomer Georges Lemaître in the 1920s, the modern version was developed by Russian-born American physicist George Gamow and colleagues in the 1940s.
The big-bang model is based on two assumptions. The first is that Albert Einstein's general theory of relativity correctly describes the gravitational interaction of all matter. The second assumption, called the cosmological principle, states that an observer's view of the universe depends neither on the direction in which he looks nor on his location. This principle applies only to the large-scale properties of the universe, but it does imply that the universe has no edge, so that the big-bang origin occurred not at a particular point in space but rather throughout space at the same time. These two assumptions make it possible to calculate the history of the cosmos after a certain epoch called the Planck time. Scientists have yet to determine what prevailed before Planck time.
According to the big-bang model, the universe expanded rapidly from a highly compressed primordial state, which resulted in a significant decrease in density and temperature. Soon afterward, the dominance of matter over anti-matter (as observed today) may have been established by processes that also predict proton decay. During this stage many types of elementary particles may have been present. After a few seconds, the universe cooled enough to allow the formation of certain nuclei. The theory predicts that definite amounts of hydrogen, helium, and lithium were produced. Their abundances agree with what is observed today. About one million years later the universe was sufficiently cool for atoms to form. The radiation that also filled the universe was then free to travel through space. This remnant of the early universe is the cosmic microwave background radiation—the “three degree” (actually 2.728 K) background radiation—discovered in 1965 by American physicists Arno A. Penzias and Robert W. Wilson.
In addition to accounting for the presence of ordinary matter and radiation, the model predicts that the present universe should also be filled with neutrinos, fundamental particles with no mass or electric charge. The possibility exists that other relics from the early universe may eventually be discovered.

However, with respect to the task of the essays in this series, we are attempting to develop a new sociological perspective exceeding the rationale of historical data used as a methodological approach by Marx and Engles... when outlining the Communist Manifesto; which did not include a significant appreciation of corollary patterns that need to be addressed in the construction of an idea involving a multiplicity of events outside the limited discussion of materialisms in the Manifesto. Because there are a large host of accompanying basic patterns which are identifiable as a consistency in multiple venues of consideration, it is necessary that an attempt be made to address the presence and proclivity because of the concomitant historicity. In other words, the aforementioned patterns of 1, 2, 3 cropping up again and again in different subject matter being applied to sociological concepts must not only have an origin, but a reason for the recurrence... irrespective of differences in labeling which may be used in different times, places and subjects.
For example, if Marx and Engles thought in terms of three social classes (lower, middle, and upper) that was thought of in terms of a Hegelian dialectics (thesis- antithesis-synthesis) which was an echo of an idea from some other unrecorded source, this recurrence portrays a history for an underlying pattern-of-three, even if they scrutinized a dichotomy within this structure. It nonetheless is a tell-tale sign that their brain development appeared to be representing a developmental trend between a two and a three focus. And it doesn't matter if each took several thousand additional words and analogies to describe such a focus, the recurring emphasis of the underlying structural pattern was the directed development. It's like a jumble of elemental materials were present in the primordial soup or broth prior to the development of DNA and RNA, yet the result was a triplet coding pattern.
This is particularly significant because even though we have the capacity to think about multiple ideas, we are inclined to focus on specifics. It is what has been labeled deductive reasoning: from the general to the specific, though we have the capacity to indulge in inductive reasoning: from the specific to the general, and yet turn the general into a specificity, as we might alter the specific into a generality. For example, some acquire an adept knowledge of using a syllogism such as described by the words Major Premise- Minor Premise- Conclusion, yet are unable to see this specificity in order to label it as a generality noted as a "pattern-of-three", and then use this labeling as a specificity with which to analyze other concepts in different subjects in order to recognize a wide-spread similarity which describes a recurring usage of the same mental pattern. Whereas we make note of developmental trends with respect to a person's age, gender, culture and the like, and we make note of similarities of ideas used in different subjects, the underlying patterns in different ideas becomes a practiced prejudice of openly discussed consideration, though many indulge in it as if it were some secret knowledge.
The patterns of the Big (hot) Bang set the stage for the development of life. Though we of the present age have not yet itemized the individual steps along which life arose, the recurring patterns in genetics suggest that the structuring of the triplet code in DNA and RNA was due to a three-patterned mold. And when we find this same form of pattern being exhibited in the structure of our anatomy, this too harkens to the realization that the same mold, or an extension of the original mold remains in place. The fact that the biological development of such a pattern takes place along a developmental scenario in which can be recognized step wise increments, means that there exists the means for adapting in environments with different molding patterns. This means that although we have the capacity, the flexibility to think in numerous types of patterns, the environment to which we are subjected to constrains this ability because it incorporates a particular design of mold such as the 1,2,3 maturational development cycle and its accompanying 3 -to- 1 ratio.
All the many hundreds and hundreds of three-patterned examples occurring in different subjects represent the presence of an environmental constraint, that is headed along the path of a demise. And our sociological ideas are being constrained to exhibit this patterning as an adaptive mechanism in search of establishing some semblance of equilibrium in an environment whose stability is regulated by the incremental processes of decay. In other words, no matter our sincerity and all the intelligence brought to bear in our attempts to develop a better society, they will continue to be little more than incremental adaptive adjustments to the on-going processes of cosmological, solar system, and planetary decay. The best we can do under the circumstances is to develop a social (economic) governance idea which will best assist us in removing ourselves from the short-term effects of incremental planetary decay, to those longer-term effects of incremental decay outside the planetary, if not galactic system.
Those individuals and individual groups who reject such an application of sociological endeavour, are those who advance self-centered ideologies. For all their ideological pretensions claiming an interest in all peoples, their denial of restructuring society's role in directing all efforts and resources towards removing humanity from its present constraints, is the indication of an avowed ego-centricity. This is how we will bring the best of Communism, Democracy and Socialism to be applied to all venues of humanity. The fusion of these three into one ideology will necessarily, at first, result into the idea of a fusion, as an indication that there is an ongoing development based on the conditions of an environmental influence.
As pointed out, while we do not have a play-by-play reference of comparing known events with those of the initial moment of the Big Bang, much less what occurred before, we do have patterns today which can be used to deduce approximations of influence for their occurrence. With respect to occurrences: "Speculations about the early universe which cannot be checked by comparison to observed properties of the universe are basically a waste of time." Interestingly, there are multiple references highlighting "the first three minutes" after the Big Bang, and that the background Radiation of Outer Space has taken on the general statement of being 3°K, but we do not find discussions highlighting the first 4 minutes, or 8 minutes... etc.; though some perspectives include references to larger expanses of time involving the history of Earth and what the Universe may be like Trillions of years in the future... even though this expanse of time exceeds that which created the conditions for the present recurrences of biological and sociological patterns. For example:
Astronomers assume that the universe will gradually wither away, provided it keeps on expanding and does not recollapse under the pull of its own gravity. During the Stelliferous Era, from 10,000 years to 100 trillion years after the Big Bang, most of the energy generated by the universe is in the form of stars burning hydrogen and other elements in their cores.
This era extends to Ten Trillion Trillion Trillion years after the Big Bang. Most of the mass that we can currently see in the universe is locked up in degenerate stars, those that have blown up and collapsed into black holes and neutron stars, or have withered into white dwarfs. Energy in this era is generated through proton decay and particle annihilation.
This era extends to Ten Thousand Trillion Trillion Trillion Trillion Trillion Trillion Trillion Trillion years after the Big Bang. After the epoch of proton decay, the only stellar-like objects remaining are black holes of widely disparate masses, which are actively evaporating during this era.
At this late time, protons have decayed and black holes have evaporated. Only the waste products from these processes remain: mostly photons of colossal wavelength, neutrinos, electrons, and positrons. For all intents and purposes, the universe as we know it has dissipated.
The cycle of expansions and regressions are other patterns which have parallels in various human (life forms) behavior and events in nature, but direct links between observed patterns without being able to correlate definitive cause -and- effect scenarios (in order to retrieve some desired profit from) lead many to abandon the effort of listing different occurrences, even though such a list must inevitably occur before an overview can be established and an accompanying theory applied. While some people have a brain which automatically catalogues large amounts of diverse information upon which they apply an observational screening that they may only be vaguely aware of engaging in; others need to physically log such information onto a means of recording that they can reflect on. While this takes a great deal more effort, the physical list can be used as a visual reference to show others who may likewise not engage in the practice of making large mental notes of large arrays of diverse information. Visual lists are important because it is difficult to see the mental blackboard being utilized by those who do not like to write anything down, for whatever reason, but may nonetheless be good at memorization and recall.
In the first three minutes after the Big Bang, it is thought that the current array of nuclear particles was established. Yet, why is the configuration in recurring patterns-of-three? Unless we must surmise that our usage of ideas involving three families of fundamental particles, the three large particles (Protons, Neutrons, Electrons), and that each of these are made of three quarks and three anti-quarks... is not due to some three-figured pattern inherent in the Universe, but due only to recurring patterns-of-three in our biological/physiological/anatomical makeup. Yet, why is there such a pattern within us? Does it actually exist or do we only think that it does because our brains are configured with a mentality that matures along a three-patterned orientation consistent with the three Germ layer development of Endoderm, Mesoderm, Ectoderm... that is if the brain is permitted to develop normally without interference from nutritional, social, emotional and environmental abuses.
With so many "threes" preceding the development of the human brain which later becomes attached with a three-patterned developmental theory as well, it should come as no surprise that ideas would express a similar patterning, despite all the ego-attached significance many of them are portrayed with. Likewise, when we see a recurring usage of a "pattern-of-seven" amongst ideas which were developed in ages past and then correlated these to the influence of ancient star gazers who thought that the seven stars in the Big Dipper had some Universal significance... particularly when this also was compounded with the usage of the Big Dipper to form the Swastika... derived from viewing, and illustrating the Big Dipper's celestial position during the two Equinoxes and two Solstices. Yet, nonetheless, in all instances, there was a conservation of number (quantity) in effect. All the stars were viewed in smaller groups called constellations, yet references to the quantity of constellations was just as limited as were the quantity of stars within each perceived form. Limitations can be experienced even if the reason(s) for such a limitation is not readily acknowledged. However, an examination of limitations can help us pinpoint the position of an observer as it had done for those wanting to know where (and by whom) constellations were developed, since the absence of constellations referencing a particular point in the sky revealed where and when the constellations came into being:
Our modern constellation system comes to us from the ancient Greeks. The oldest description of the constellations as we know them comes from a poem, called Phaenomena, written about 270 B.C. by the Greek poet Aratus. However, it is clear from the poem that the constellations mentioned originated long before Aratus' time. No one is sure exactly where, when, or by whom they were invented. And yet a little detective work reveals a plausible origin.
The first clue is that Aratus' constellations did not include any near the south celestial pole (the point on the celestial sphere directly above the Earth's south pole) because that area of the sky was always below the horizon of the ancient constellation-makers. From the size of this uncharted area of the sky, we can determine that the people responsible for the original constellations lived near a latitude of 36° north -- south of Greece, north of Egypt, but similar to the latitude of the ancient Babylonians and Sumerians.
In addition, the constellation-free zone is not centered exactly on the south celestial pole. Because of a "wobble" of the Earth's axis of rotation, the position of the celestial poles changes slowly with time, a phenomenon known as precession. The uncharted area is centered on the place in the sky where the south celestial pole would have been around the year 2000 B.C. This date matches the time of the Babylonians and Sumerians.
Thus it seems likely the Greek constellations originated with the Sumerians and Babylonians. From there, knowledge of the constellations somehow made its way to Egypt (perhaps through the Minoans on Crete who had contact with the Babylonians and settled in Egypt after an explosive volcanic eruption destroyed their civilization), where early Greek scholars first heard about the constellations and wrote about them.
In 150 A.D., the Greek scientist Ptolemy published a book, known by its Arabic name, The Almagest, which contained a summary of Greek astronomical knowledge, including a catalog of 1022 stars, with estimates of their brightness, arranged into 48 constellations. These 48 formed the basis for our modern constellation system.
Over the years, astronomers have added constellations to fill in the gaps between Ptolemy's figures and map the uncharted regions of the sky near the south celestial pole. Major contributors of new constellations included Dutch cartographer Gerardus Mercator in 1551 and Pieter Keyser and Frederick de Hautmann, navigators aboard some of the first trading expeditions to the East Indies in the early 1600s, who mapped the southern sky. Polish astronomer Johannes Hevelius in 1690 and French astronomer Nicolas Louis de Lacaille in the 1750s filled in the remaining gaps in the northern and southern skies.

The operative word in the foregoing is "clues". The usage of dichotomization and trichotomization in Marx and Engles' work are clues to a recurrence of cognitive structuring occurring with the human brain as part of a larger developmental process. Although the notion of "clues" may not initially arise from only one sample, the accumulation of a similar pattern occurring amongst different people in different eras involved with different interests, attests to the consideration that there not only exists a similar type of formative structure, but that there may be an external cause to the production of internal forms from which the pattern arises, again, and again, and again. By identifying and understanding this, trends in the development of sociological ideas can be ascertained, because they will contain such patterns as a requirement for surviving in an environment in which such patterns can be observed, and that all together, are heading along a course of decay... A decay which includes an alteration of the pattern.
For want of a better three-patterned source which contains an inherent two-patterned and singular structuring as well, is the reason we at present are looking at the patterns of the Sun, taking into appreciation its development since the Big Bang incident. Setting aside the notions of extra-terrestrial (biological) alien influence and some serendipitous coincidence of events; we take into consideration the evolution of the Solar system with respect to the eventual development of life on this third planet. Of course, some of the scenario is speculation, but it works out in general form like this:
The Sun's radiation on the revolving planets, particularly the innermost three labeled Mercury, Venus, Earth... was less than it is today. This may have produced conditions enabling some measure of life to sprout on the planets in a successive development over billions of years... leading to conditions which enabled life to evolve as it has, on planet Earth. From a perspective of Earth so many years ago when the solar irradiation may have been considerably more or less due to a lack of or a developing ozone, and the rate of the Earth's rotation was accelerated considerably; standing on the Earth looking towards the Sun (from the perspective of a primitive broth of pre-life materials)... conditions in the hot pool may have subjected the ingredients to a "One" solar moment of intense irradiation that boiled. The ingredients were too hot to notice anything else except a singularly consistent experience. As the Earth's environment cooled and the rate of rotation slowed, a two-solar event of night/day would have emerged. Later on during the developmental processes of cooking, which may have included large discharges of electricity in the form of lightning, further slowing of the Earth helped to produce a three-patterned dawn-noon-dusk impression. This impression of different solar "moments" is seen in the orientation of some flowers, nocturnal and diurnal animal behavior and the various human references such as dawn, morning, sunrise, noon, afternoon, evening, etc...
But even if this idea is later proven to be off the mark or highly simplistic, we still have to account for so many recurring expressions of "threes" in diverse activities... including genetics, biology, anatomy, ideology, etc... Our anatomy is not exhibiting a 1700 pattern, nor a 999, nor 83, etc... It is a 3. It represents a conservation of number... of quantity. Again, it is not that we may be be unable to utilize other patterns because our biology is malleably adaptable, it's just that we are constrained to utilize a small number because it helps, we might conjecture, to conserve resources. Our descriptions of complexity arise from our ignorance of simplicity. Nonetheless, with available information from a diverse array of resources, we can engage in some measure of reverse engineering in order to unveil the virgin as we become wedded to a new sociological concept.
The following image shows the expansion of the Sun and the fusion of its three "moments" (dawn- noon- dusk), as it overtakes the Earth along the Sun's path of burning out. The incremental fusion, taking place right now, if we assume it took part in the influence of three-patterned occurrences with respect to different organisms' structural biology to be influenced accordingly; (because different species react differently to the same environmental event... but they all nonetheless react according to their own ability to do so); will likely influence an alteration of three-patterned "expressions" into a "fused" (3 to 1) ratio. Trying to describe the influence of an event when one does not have a language that is readily understood, and may involve symbolic gestures; speaks of humanity's own primivity of communication about influences that may be felt, but not consciously recognized, or occur so subtly that only a conscious fragrance, shadow, impression, or whisper can be fumbly illustrated in some manner. If an impression has an "echo" of its future character, this echo may be shown without the accompaniment of a corresponding reason to explain its presence when the same "echo" can only be described in terms of a vague premonition of things to come. The vision of some people exceeds the understanding of their generation, and perhaps several future generations as well.
