Let it be understood that in the United States, there is a law against Overthrowing the Government:


18 U.S.C. ยง2385- Advocating Overthrow of the Government.

This law seems rather stupid and a slap in the face to the citizenry, since the U.S. Declaration of Independence provides for the right to alter or abolish the government:


...We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.— That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed... that whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness...

Yep, the U.S. government practices a lot of hypocrisy by way of elected officials. But despite all the negative comments it is subjected to, the people want a government... yet a better one than that being presently practiced. So even though we say we want to "overthrow" the government, we are actually calling for a reconstruction. In order to keep us away from being attached with a violation of the aforementioned law, we must use words such as reform, change, improvement, rearrangement, recalibration, etc... We can not say that we want to overthrow the government, even if this is what will occur when we participate in its evolution to the practice of a higher state of Democracy.


This page is dedicated to those who express their desire for a better government by calling for its overthrow... though they might never actually engage in the active collection of armaments, people, plans and other resources directed towards participating in a political coup. Undoubtedly those so oriented would not make a public pronouncement of such by creating a webpage... though some may engage in some form of anonymity in calling for a violent Overthrow because they have become frustrated that no real change is taking place... only the same routinized nonsense. Those who are genuinely interested in government reform by way of redesign, are not likewise interested in anarachy that breeds dissolution but no constructive reorganization. We don't want death and destruction, but birth and reconstruction... even though one or another moment of anger may lead us to fend off any who would dare to dethrone us from our soap box, fruit basket, milk crate, or whatever is used for a momentary king of the hill (overthrow the government) position.


Many people, perhaps most people, will frame their desire for overthrowing the government by posing a question such as wondering whether or not "we" should think about changing the government. It is a tactic used frequently by intellectuals who want to provide themselves with an escape plan to retreat if they should be scrutinized too closely by those who might want to bring legal, social or academic censorship. Others surf the internet looking for information to be culled for a book to make money or a reputation off of, though their sources are infreqently, if ever, given recognition. The plagarists want to give the impression that they are flushed with creativity and an uncompromising intellectual acumen... when they are actually skilled in concealing their theft of someone else's ideas. And still others, though they may think about wanting to overthrow the government, remain silent because no dominant speaker in their group is voicing such an opinion, and they want to retain membership in by going along with the primary focus... no matter how silly they might view it in private. Nonetheless, we should not let such examples keep us from our efforts.


And it is of need to note that while people are calling for, or are trying to provide incite to those who want to the Overthrow of the Government, there is a stark absence of ideas concerning the design of a government to take its place. Will the government be organized on a a military unit design? A College campus administration? Some business model? A theocratic model? A Dog eat Dog model? An only the strong survive model? A science fiction futuristic model? A spy network model? A commune (communism- socialist/democracy) model? A socialism (state ownership) model? An actual democracy (as opposed to the limited democracies now being practiced)? A sports model? A philosopher king model? A metaphysical model? A grocery or varitey store model? A judicial model? A circus or carnival model (present forms notwithstanding)? In short, if we advocate an overthrow of the government, let us also provide a model for its effective replacement.
